F.Azzurra Monza – Qualifiche: I commenti dei protagonisti
Sul circuito di Monza sono andate in scena le prime qualifiche della nuova F. Azzurra – trofeo Michele Albereto. Buon avvio per il Team Minardi by Corbeta Competizioni che per la nuova stagione sfoggia anche una livrea totalmente rinnovata nel design, caratterizzata comunque dai colori storici del marchio fondato da Gian Carlo Minardi: blu e giallo con delle parti bianche.
Alla fine dei trenta minuti i due giovani alfieri portano la loro Tatuus in ottava e nona posizione con rispettivamente Giovanni Nappi, che ferma il suo cronometro a 1’59’’884, e Kevin Gilardoni con il miglior crono di 2’00’’517, anche se è stato penalizzato da un problema al motore sulla sua monoposto.
Domani andranno in scena invece le prime due gare del calendario 2008

“Sono soddisfatto dei risultati di oggi, peccato solamente per il problema al motore sulla vettura di Kevin Gilardoni. Nonostante tutto abbiamo visto che il potenziale del team è molto buono e questo è sicuramente un ottimo punto di partenza. Molto bene anche il debutto di Giovanni Nappi, visto che era la sua prima volta qui a Monza e la seconda volta che saliva sulla vettura. SI è adattato subito bene. Per la gara il nostro obiettivo sarà quello di portare entrambi i piloti al traguardo in modo da fargli acquisire la giusta esperienza. Se poi arrivano anche i primi punti stagionali ancora meglio”

“Nonostante i problemi al mio propulsore sono soddisfatto del mio nono posto. Speravamo di averli risolti, ma purtroppo si sono ancora presentati. Spero di fare una buona partenza per recuperare alcune posizioni e poi siamo a Monza, un circuito in cui non è impossibile sorpassare. Cercherò di fare del mio meglio”
