F1 – Gian Carlo Minardi “Inutile accettare il ricorso della McLaren”
La Corte d’Appello Internazionale della FIA ha respinto l’appello presentato dalla McLaren Mercedes in seguito alla penalità di 25 secondi inflitta al suo pilota Lewis Hamilton per essersi avvantaggiato nel taglio della chicane nelle fasi finali del gran premio del Belgio.
“Come già anticipato nel commento al post GP del Belgio, sono convinto che Lewis Hamilton si sia avvantaggiato nel taglio della chicane e che quindi andasse sanzionato in qualche modo.” commenta l’ex costruttore faentino Gian Carlo Minardi “La punizione forse è stata un po’ eccessiva, ma non sta a me scegliere la punizione da applicare, ma ai commissari sportivi, i quali avevano diverse possibilità e, alla fine, hanno optato un drive-through comminato a fine gara. Detto questo è stato sbagliato accettare il ricorso presentato dalla McLaren Mercedes, in quanto la penalità era inappellabile: ritengo inutile quindi tutto quello che ha portato alla convocazione della corte d’Appello della FIA.
La Formula 1 deve darsi delle regole e prevedere punizioni ben precise e non contestabili: la Federazione Internazione dell’Automobilismo (FIA) deve redigere i regolamenti e far si che siano rispettati e chiari a tutti. Mi auguro che questo finale di campionato di possa decidere in pista e negli autodromi e non nelle aule: sarebbe veramente inutile, e dannoso per la F.1, rovinare una delle stagioni più combattute appellandosi a dei regolamenti poco chiari. Ora arriviamo a Singapore per la seconda grande novità di questa stagione, ovvero il primo gran premio in notturna.”
