F1 – Gian Carlo Minardi analizza le prime uscite dei team

Il 60° campionato mondiale di Formula 1 è ufficialmente iniziato con i primi test: mentre la Ferrari con la neonata F60 ha preferito girare sul circuito di casa del Mugello, gli avversari di casa Toyota, McLaren, Renault e BMW hanno preferito battezzare le loro nuove monoposto sul circuito portoghese di Portimao. Insieme a loro anche la Scuderia Toro Rosso, in versione però 2008.

“In questo momento non è certamente facile fare un’analisi approfondita sui primi test” commenta Gian Carlo Minardi “Ho avuto l’impressione che tutte le scuderie siano leggermente in ritardo sulla tabella di marcia, soprattutto per quanto riguarda il KERS. A mio avviso la Ferrari ha fatto molto bene girare al Mugello, nonostante le cattive condizioni metereologiche . Essendo molto vicini a casa hanno potuto sopperire con estrema facilità ai vari inconvenienti che si possono avere quando si porta al debutto la vettura. Come abbiamo potuto vedere anche in Portogallo il maltempo è stato il protagonista dei primi giorni di test creando non poche difficoltà ai team: un esempio su tutti la McLaren ha deciso di girare con l’alettone posteriore in versione 2008 per portare a temperature i pneumatici. In questo momento i team devono cercare di risolvere nuove problematiche derivanti dalla nuova aerodinamica, cercando di sfruttare nel migliore dei modi le gomme. Sto aspettando con impazienza i prossimi test anche se per ora non avremo tutte le squadre insieme sullo stesso circuito in quanto Ferrari, Toyota e BMW andranno a provare con le alte temperature del Bahrain (dal 10 al 13 febbraio) per cercare di mettere alla prova il KERS e la resistenza dei propulsori (visto che la nuova aerodinamica penalizza lo smaltimento dell’aria calda), mentre gli altri saranno in Spagna a Jerez”

Con l’inizio del campionato i team non potranno più scendere in pista per le sessioni di test private, avendo a disposizione solo il venerdì mattina per provare. Proprio su questo aspetto Mark Webber che Fernando Alonso hanno pareri contrastanti, in quanto il pilota Red Bull è convinto che si girerà molto per provare diverso soluzione, mentre il bi-campione di casa Renault sostiene che sarà usata solo per mettere a posto il setup della monoposto, vista anche la limitazione del numero dei propulsori per tutta la stagione “Siamo di fronte ad uno stravolgimento del regolamento e, come abbiamo già potute vedere, è stato interpretato in modo diverso dai vari team. In questo momento tutti si stanno organizzando per provare diverse soluzioni – e mai contemporaneamente – per evitare di essere copiati. Come tutti sappiamo con l’inizio del campionato non si potranno più fare test, ma si avrà solo più il venerdì mattina per girare, e chi riuscirà ad interpretare al meglio il regolamento senza farsi scoprire potrà essere avvantaggiato. Ad oggi comunque non mi pare sia stato stilato il regolamento definitivo sportivo e tecnico e sia Webber e Alonso hanno ragione, nel senso che chi sarà in difficoltà, ma che correrà con l’obiettivo di portare a casa il miglior risultato possibile senza puntare al mondial,e sfrutterà il venerdì mattina rischiando di dover usare il nono propulsore (con conseguente penalizzazione di 10 posizioni); chi corre per il mondiale dovrà invece stare molto attento all’affidabilità visto che l’unità dovrà fare 3 week end completi. Le strategie cambieranno e saranno determinate dalla classifica.”

In conclusione in questi giorni si è parlato molto della possibilità di dare vita ad un gran premio cittadino tra le vie di Roma. Questa proposta naturalmente ha fatto subito pensare al pericolo di poter perdere il gran premio di Monza “Il gran premio di Monza è intoccabile in quanto fa parte della storia di questo sport in quanto è il cosiddetto il Gran Premio di Formula 1. Proprio per questo non credo che Monza rischierebbe di perdere la sua corsa qualora entrasse in calendario anche Roma. Sinceramente un suo ingresso lo vedrei in modo positivo per diversi motivi: su un calendario di 18 gare, una percentuale di circuiti cittadini fa sicuramente bene, soprattutto considerando il buon interesse mediatico che hanno creato Valencia e Singapore. Oltretutto Roma è un biglietto da visita spettacolare dal punto di vista turistico e per questo dovrebbe essere una strada da seguire: ovviamente dovrà essere una gara che non andrà a toccare i soldi pubblici e che vive sulla propria professionalità e su propri ricavi”
